Questions

How we work

The house

What is FLORENCCIA?
+
FLORENCCIA is a slow fashion brand specializing in handmade, 18th-century-inspired corsets and gowns. Our timeless yet modern pieces are meticulously crafted to make you feel like royalty.
Where are your pieces made?
+
Corsets, bespoke commissions, and corset gowns are always handmade with care and precision in-house, ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship. Cotton pieces, like chemises and shirt and bottom sets, are lovingly and carefully made by our manufacturer.
Are your corsets and gowns comfortable to wear?
+
Yes. Our corsets are designed with both style and comfort in mind, allowing you to feel confident and elegant without compromising comfort.
Do you offer plus-size options?
+
Absolutely. FLORENCCIA embraces all body types, and we custom-make pieces to your exact measurements for the perfect fit.

Bespoke

How do I place a bespoke order?
+
Start by booking a consultation. After your consultation you'll receive a custom design proposal, pricing details, and a timeline.
What is included in a bespoke consultation?
+
A bespoke consultation includes discussing your vision, design preferences, fabric selection, and timeline. You'll receive a detailed design proposal and cost estimate afterwards.
How long does it take to create a bespoke piece?
+
Bespoke timelines vary depending on the complexity of the design. Once your order is finalized, you'll receive a custom timeline outlining each stage of the process.
Can I rush a bespoke order?
+
Rush orders may be accommodated for an additional fee, depending on our production schedule. Please inquire during your consultation.

Delivery

Do you ship internationally?
+
Yes. Shipping within the United States is complimentary. International shipping is charged at a flat rate by region, shown at checkout before you pay.
Will I have to pay customs or import duty?
+
Possibly, if you are outside the United States. Duty and VAT are set by your own country and collected by the carrier before delivery — they are not included in what you pay us. On garments this is commonly 15–30% of the value. We declare every parcel accurately and cannot mark one as a gift or understate its value, as that would be customs fraud and would void the insurance on your piece.
How long will delivery take?
+
Ready-to-wear pieces leave the atelier within a few days. Within the United States allow three to five business days; the United Kingdom and Europe two to five; Australia and New Zealand four to seven. Bespoke commissions follow the timeline agreed with you.

Care and alterations

How do I care for my corset or gown?
+
To maintain your piece's beauty, we recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth, or professional dry cleaning. Always store your garments in a cool, dry place.
Can I alter my FLORENCCIA piece after receiving it?
+
While minor alterations can be done by a local tailor, we recommend contacting us for advice to ensure the best results.
